What actually happens, start to finish.
The same four steps whether you are starting from nothing or from a stone you already own. Written out so there are no surprises.
The process.
Steps one and two happen with you in the room. Nothing is made until you have agreed to both the design and the figure.
- Step 1 Sit down Budget, taste, and anything you already own. You leave this conversation with a price and a date.
- Step 2 Design it Drawn and agreed with you. If you brought a stone, it is on the counter while we do it.
- Step 3 Made Built on our own bench. The person who designed it makes it.
- Step 4 Fitted Sized and checked in person before you leave.
About timing.
Most custom and remount work is finished inside a normal trip, and repairs and resizing are often same-day. But it depends on the piece, so the answer only exists once we have seen it.
You get a date at the first meeting
A date, on the day.
If it cannot be done in time, you hear it then
At the start. That is the whole point of quoting in person.
Tell us your last day on the island
It changes what is possible and it changes what we recommend.
Starting from a stone, or from nothing?
The process is the same. The pages differ because the first conversation does.
