Ring size
The best guide is a ring that already fits the same finger.
How to measure
- Take a ring that fits well and measure straight across the inside, in millimetres. Match it to the inside diameter below.
- Or wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of the finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length. Match it to the circumference below.
- Measure late in the day, when fingers are at their fullest. Heat and humidity make them swell.
- A wide band sits tighter than a thin one at the same size.
| US size | Inside diameter | Circumference |
|---|---|---|
| 4 | 14.9 mm | 46.8 mm |
| 5 | 15.7 mm | 49.3 mm |
| 6 | 16.5 mm | 51.9 mm |
| 7 | 17.3 mm | 54.4 mm |
| 8 | 18.1 mm | 57.0 mm |
| 9 | 18.9 mm | 59.5 mm |
| 10 | 19.8 mm | 62.1 mm |
Fingers are not a fixed size, so a chart is only ever a guide.
