It depends on the design, the stone and your date, so the timing is agreed with you before any work begins. Tell us your deadline at the first meeting; if it cannot be done in time, you hear that early.

The four steps

  1. Sit downBring what you have: a stone, an old piece, a picture, a budget. Meet us in the store, or by video call or phone from anywhere.
  2. Design itWe talk the design through with you, around your stone if you brought one. You see the price before anything is made.
  3. MadeWork starts once you have said yes to the design and the price. Pieces are made in our Los Angeles studio.
  4. FittedWe check the fit with you before it goes home.

What makes it take longer

Finding the stone
A particular shape, size or color of stone can take time to find.
Changes to the design
Each change you ask for before the design is agreed adds a round of talking it through.
Complex work
Many small stones, engraving or an unusual setting mean more hand work.
Your own stone or gold
We look at what you bring first, and nothing irreversible happens until you agree.

On a trip

Come in early in your stay and tell us your departure date first. It changes what is possible, so it is the first thing we ask. If the piece is finished after you leave, we send it to you with insured shipping.

From home
